SUMMER KIDS ACADEMY 2026 — SHREK JR
MINI THEATRE CAMP SUMMER 2026
CACHE THEATRE ACADEMY: ALADDIN-THEMED SUMMER MINI CAMP FOR AGES 4-7
Cache Theatre Company is excited to offer a Summer Mini Camp designed especially for our youngest performers. This Aladdin-themed theatre camp introduces children ages 4–7 to the magic of storytelling, music, movement, and imaginative play in a fun and supportive environment.
Through creative activities and theatre-based games, campers will build confidence, develop coordination, and explore their creativity — all while having an unforgettable summer experience.

June 22–26
June 29–July 3
Time: 9:30–11:30 AM (each session)
Location: Cache Theatre Academy
Tuition: $150 per camper (for one session)
Space is limited to ensure a positive and engaging experience for every child. Spots for this age group will fill up quickly!

TECHNICAL THEATRE CLASS (AGES 12–18)
Behind-the-Scenes Theatre Training for Young Technicians
Not every theatre student wants to be in the spotlight, and that’s where technical theatre comes in! This hands-on class gives students the opportunity to learn how productions come together behind the scenes while developing practical skills in theatre design and production.
Students will gain real-world experience working on projects connected to our upcoming Shrek Jr. summer camps, learning the fundamentals of technical theatre in a supportive and creative environment.
Students will learn:
Set and prop construction
Scenic painting techniques
Lighting and sound basics
Stage management skills
Backstage production techniques
And more!
Class Dates: March 3 – May 14
Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
Ages 12–14: 4:00–5:30 PM
Ages 15–18: 6:00–8:30 PM
Tuition: $275 per student
(Note: Students should come prepared in closed-toed shoes and clothes that can get messy with paint, sawdust, and other materials.)

Cache Theatre Company takes pride in offering one of the longest and most affordable theatre camps in Cache Valley while maintaining a high-quality production experience. Academy Camp tuition includes:
- 30+ hours of supervised instruction and rehearsal (averaging approximately $5 per hour)
- Professional headshot included at auditions
- Beautiful costumes and professional-quality sets, lighting, microphones, etc.
- Dedicated rehearsal spaces & professional performance space
- Highly qualified, experienced theatre instructors
- Official camp T-shirt
- & so much more!
(Please note that sibling and group discounts are not offered, as tuition is carefully structured to cover the true cost of providing a high-quality theatre experience for every participant.)

What Does My Tuition Support?
The majority of camp tuition goes directly toward producing a full, professional level theatrical production and providing a meaningful educational experience. These costs include:
- A great performance venue at Logan High School
- Rental of a large LED video wall to enhance background scenic visuals
- Performance rights and licensing (approximately $2,500 per cast)
- A full creative team, including a director, music director, choreographer, assistants, etc.
- Professional-grade technical and design elements, including lighting, sound, costumes, etc.
- A dedicated stage manager to coordinate spacing rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances over three days

The academy and camp programs are not major profit centers. Nearly all tuition revenue is reinvested directly into production expenses and into hiring passionate, highly qualified instructors who provide a positive and enriching theatre experience.
Our goal is to make quality theatre education accessible, professional, and rewarding for every student.
No Cancellations, Refunds or Credits
Because of the high demand of camp, registration is non-refundable. By the time the season comes, people who may have missed sign-ups have made other plans. This makes filling vacant spots very difficult. Refunds may be given if we OR you can find someone to take your child's spot.
Fees
All academy camp registrations are subject to a service fee. This fee helps cover registration processing, administrative support, and camp-related resources. The service fee is applied at checkout.
